Großer paestanischer rotfiguriger Kelchkrater des Malers von Neapel 2585.
330 - 320 v. Chr. H 42,7cm, ø Mündung 40cm. Auf der einen Seite sitzt eine junge Frau im Himation und mit einer Kette in den Händen zwischen zwei pfeilerartigen Altären, auf denen Gaben liegen. Auf der anderen Seite eine orgiastisch tanzende Mänade eine Tänie haltend gefolgt von einem tänzelnden Satyr mit Thyrsos. Reicher Gebrauch von Weiß und Gelb für die Details.

Large Paestan red-figure calyx krater of the Painter of Naples 2585. 330 - 320 century BC. Height 42,7cm, ø mouth 40cm. On one side a sitting young woman draped in himation and holding a necklace between pillar shaped altars with offerings on top. On the other side an orgiastic dancing maenad with tainia followed by a prancing satyr with thyrsos. Intensive usage of white and yellow colour for the details.
With invoice from 1986 (copy)! and French Antiquities passport! Foot broken and reattached, chippings at the edge of the foot, otherwise intact.
