Massive Figur eines sitzenden Mannes in reduzierter, rechteckiger Grundform, die Hände sind auf die Knie gelegt; nur die vorspringende Nase und das Geschlecht sind ausmodelliert, der Mund und die Augen sind durch horizontale Ritzlinien angegeben; in der Nase ein Metallring; die Stirn ist bis zum Hinterkopf sechsfach durchbohrt; Arm-, Knie- und Handgelenke sind durch breite eingeritzte Bänder mit geometrischem Muster markiert. Seated man in a reduced, rectangular basic form, hands resting on his knees; the protruding nose and the gender are modeled, the mouth and eyes are indicated by horizontal incised lines, a metal ring in the nose; the top of the head is pierced six times; arms, knees and wrists are marked by wide incised bands with a geometric pattern. Großer ovaler Körper mit kleinem Geschlecht und sehr weit auseinander liegenden Brustwarzen sowie auf die Brust gelegte Hände; der rechteckige Kopf mit großen Ohren kommt direkt aus dem Körper; an Stelle des Bauchnabels ein breiter Ausguss mit großem senkrechten Henkel; die rituelle Tätowierung, Arme und Ornament auf dem Ausguss sind mit beiger Farbe angegeben. Vier schöne Terrakottafigurinen.
Colima, 2. Jh. v. Chr. - 3. Jh. n. Chr. a) H 18,5cm. Stehende männliche Figur mit vor der Brust verschränkten Händen; Schurz mit Ritzlinien angedeutet, in der Nase ein großer Schmuckbügel, große Ohrringe, auf dem Kopf eine Kappe mit Troddel. Reparatur an rechter Schulter. b) H 14,3cm. Ähnlich von der Gestalt her eine flache Figur, die aber einen turbanartigen Kopfputz, mit nach vorne und an die Seiten fallenden Tuchenden, trägt. Intakt. c) H 11,5cm. Pfeife in Form einer stehenden Figur eines Kriegers mit Helm, Schurz und einer flügelähnlicher Tasche am Rücken, beim Schleuderwerfen dargestellt. Intakt. d) H 8,5cm. Pfeife in Form einer sitzender Figur mit einem kugeligen Gegenstand in der linken und einem messerähnlichem Gegenstand in der rechten Hand, angezogen mit einem Schurz, sowie mit einer Mütze und einem Halsband. 4 Stück!

Repair in the right shoulder. b) Similar in shape figure, wearing a turban-like headdress with ends falling forward and to the sides. Intact. c) Whistle shaped as a standing figure of a warrior with a helmet, apron and a wing-like pouch in the back, depicted throwing a sling. Intact. d) Whistle shaped as a seated figure with a spherical object in the left hand and a knife-like object in the right hand, dressed in an apron, cap and collar. Paar Tonpfeifen in Tierform.
Veracruz, 6. - 10. Jh. n. Chr. L 18 u. 19cm. Grauer Ton mit Resten der Engobe. Jeweils mit hohlem und leicht abgeflachtem Körper, großem Schwanz, ausgestreckten Beinen und großem Kopf; ein Tier mit einer Öffnung, und eines mit der Regengottglyphe auf dem Rücken, letzteres mit Pfeiffunktion.

Pair of grey clay whistles shaped as animals, each with a hollow, flattened body, long tail, stretched out legs and large head; one animal with an opening in the back, the other with the Rain God glyph. Veracruz, 6th - 10th century AD. One tail part and a head attachment repaired, otherwise intact.

Ritualbecher.
Teotihuacan, 1. - 6. Jh. n. Chr. H 8cm, ø 6cm. Dunkler Ton, schwarz glasiert, mit Pigmentresten. Zylindrischer Becher auf drei Kugelfüßen und mit leicht ausladendem Rand. Unteres Drittel des Körpers ist abgetrennt und mit vier Kopf-Appliken geschmückt; das große Register zeigt zwei Schamanen, mit Vogel- und mit Schlangenkopfputz, jeweils bei der Anbetung und Darbringung an einem Altar; der Hintergrund flach eingeritzt, um den Kontrast für die Figuren herzustellen.

Rare ritual beaker. Dark clay, glazed in black, with rests of pigment. Cylindrical beaker on three ball-like feet and with a slightly flaring rim. Lower third of the body adorned with four head appliques; the large register above shows two shamans, with bird- and snake-headdresses, each worshiping and making offerings at an altar; the background incised flat to create contrast for the figures. Teotihuacan, 1st - 6th century AD. A tiny splinter at the rim, otherwise intact.

Monumentaler Deckel eines Räuchergefäßes.
Teotihuacan, 1. - 6. Jh. n. Chr. H 36cm, ø 26cm. Beiger Ton, unglasiert. Konischer Deckel mit zwei kleinen Henkeln an den Seiten, einem Band aus fünf großen Blütenblättern am unteren Rand, weiter nach oben eine Reihe aus fünf Blüten-Applikationen, weiter drei große tropfenähnliche Elemente, die aus einem gewelltem Reliefband herauslaufen; eine große rechteckige Reliefplatte mit acht Sternen ist in der Mitte des Deckels aufgesetzt; hinter der Spitze des Deckelkörpers und der Platte eine Öffnung. Conical body with an opening on the top, decorated with two small handles as well as floral applications and relief elements, crowned with a large rectangular relief panel. Maya, Späte Klassische Periode, 6. - 10. Jh. n. Chr. H 26cm. Rötlicher Ton mit rotem Überzug. An der Schulter ein Band aus vier schwarzen Ringen, weitere vierfache Linien trennen den Körper in vier große Felder.

Usulután Vogelschale.
Maya, Späte Präklassik, ca. 3. - 1. Jh. v. Chr. H 9cm, Schale ø17,5cm. Gelblicher, in Usulután Technik gebrannter Ton. Ausladende Schale mit konkavem Boden und vier kleinen konischen Füßen; 1cm unter dem oberen Rand läuft ein waagerechter Kragen um, der mit leichten Bögen die Schwingen, den Schwanz und die Brust eines Vogels andeutet; an der Schwanzseite ein Ösenhenkel, an der anderen Seite ein kugeliger Vogelkörper, in dem ein beweglicher, drehbarer Vogelkopf steckt; zwischen beiden Rändern sowie im Unterkörper laufen zwei Bänder mit dick aufgetragener roter Farbe. Rare Usulután clay bowl depicting a bird. Convex walls, concave bottom and four small conical feet; 1cm below the upper edge runs a horizontal curved collar, which indicates the wings, the tail and the breast of a bird; on the tail side a loop handle, on the other side a spherical birds body, in which a movable, fully rotatable birds head is put; between the two edges and on the lower body two bands of thickly applied red paint. Maya, Late Preclassic, 3rd - 1st century BC. One wing reattached and repaired, pigment mostly lost. With TL-Certificate Laboratory R. Kotalla, 1995!

Froschgefäß.
Maya, Frühe Klassische Periode, 3. - 6. Jh. n. Chr. L 19,5cm. Grauer Ton mit orangefarbenem Überzug. Rundes, flaches Gefäß mit weiter Öffnung; naturalistisches Maul, Nase, Augen, Beine, sowie hintere Leibesöffnung sind im Relief dem abgeflachten Gefäßkörper vorgesetzt.

Frösche und Kröten gelten als Symbole der Fruchtbarkeit und Bringer des Regens. Sie werden auch die Musikanten des Regengottes genannt und den oberen Grenzschichten der Gewässer der Unterwelt zugeordnet.

Große Bestattungsurne.
San Agustin, 6. Jh. v. - 1. Jh. n. Chr. H mit Deckel 64cm. Ton mit rotem Überzug. Massiver ovaler Topf mit gerundetem Boden, kurzem breitem Hals und ausgezogenem Rand. Dazu zylindrischer Deckel, oben gerundet, ebenso mit ausgezogenem Rand. Dekoriert mit geritzten Perlenketten an Rand, Schulter und am Unterteil sowie mit breiten vertikalen Linienbänder am Körper, auf dem Deckel Zickzack-Muster. Mit TL-Gutachten R. Kotalla, 30.04.1993!

Massive terracotta funerary urn with red slip. Oval form with rounded bottom, wide, short neck and rim outward. Together with cylindrical lid with rounded upper part and as well rim outward. Decorated with incised pearl strings and wide bands of vertical lines; lid with zigzag pattern. San Agustin, about 600 BC - 100 AD. Lid reassembled and professionally restored, otherwise intact.
