Gewänder in kräftigen Farben mit großflächigen floralen Mustern, stilisierten Blüten und rankenden Arabesken. Goldassisten und feine Punktreihen simulieren Perlenbesatz und Edelsteine, wodurch ein kostbarer, textilem Brokat nachempfundener Charakter entsteht. Handschriftliche alte Inventarnummer verso. Magnificent large-format Deesis icon depicting Christ as King. Russia, second half of the 18th century. Height 50 cm, width 42 cm. Egg tempera on gold and chalk ground. Wooden panel. Two back supports. Christ is enthroned in the centre as ruler of the world in imperial splendour with crown, sceptre and open gospel book. He is flanked by the Mother of God and John the Baptist in a position of intercession. A classic extension of the Deesis composition. Robes in bold colours with large floral patterns, stylised flowers and climbing arabesques. Gold accents and fine rows of dots simulate pearl trim and precious stones, creating a precious character reminiscent of textile brocade. Auf der Vorderseite die Gottesmutter "vom Zeichen" in Oranshaltung mit dem Christuskind als Emmanuel im Brustmedaillon, segnend und mit Schriftrolle. Auf dem Maphorion die drei Sterne als Zeichen der Jungfräulichkeit. Auf der Rückseite der Hl. Nikolaus von Myra im Bischofsornat, flankiert von Christus und der Gottesmutter, die ihm Evangelium und Omophorion reichen. Klare liturgische Funktion. Wooden panel cut into a cartouche shape, coated on both sides with chalk primer, tempera/oil paints and rich gilding. Church Slavonic titles. On the front, the Mother of God of the Sign in an orans posture with the Christ Child as Emmanuel in a medallion on her chest, blessing and holding a scroll. On the maphorion, the three stars as a sign of virginity. On the reverse side, St. Nicholas of Myra in bishops vestments, flanked by Christ and the Mother of God, who are handing him the Gospel and omophorion. Clear liturgical function. In the upper segment, Christ is depicted blessing in the heavenly glory. Fine engraving and pressed gilding of the background with tendril and braided decoration. Egg tempera on chalk base, wooden panel with two sponki on the reverse, partially gilded. Church Slavonic titles. Depiction of the Nativity: in the centre, the Mother of God with the Christ Child lying in the manger, flanked by St. Joseph. In the foreground, the three Magi with their gifts. Above the scene is the Star of Bethlehem, its rays falling down onto the manger. The halos are painted in fine gold. The border is richly ornamented with interlaced bands in gold. Part of the background is decorated with fine gold diamond ornamentation. Old inventory number on the reverse. Overall in good condition. Surface partially rubbed, craquelure, minor scuffs.

Russland, Jaroslawl, datiert 1916. H 30,5cm, B 26,8cm. Eitempera und Gold auf Kreidegrund. Holztafel mit Rückseiteninschrift. Kirchenslawische Tituli. Darstellung der beiden Gründerheiligen des Solowezki-Klosters, Präpodobnyi Zosima (links) und Präpodobnyi Savvatij (rechts) in der klassischen Mönchsikonografie. Beide stehen betend flankierend vor einer fein ausgeführten Miniatur des Solowezki-Klosters, dessen Mauern, Türme in charakteristischer nordrussischer Bauweise detailreich wiedergegeben sind. Im oberen Bildfeld die Gottesmutter in der Glorie mit dem segnenden Christuskind in einer Mandorla. Handschriftliche Widmungsinschrift auf der Rückseite: "Als Geschenk an Ivan Danilovich Egoryev von den Dienern der Kathedralkirche ... in Jaroslawl, 1916". Herrliche kleinformatige Ikone mit Johannes der Täufer als ´Engel der Wüste´.
Russland, ca. 1870 - 1900. H 22,5cm, B 11cm. Eitempera auf Kreidegrund. Hochrechteckige Holztafel, zwei Rückensponki. Kowtscheg. Hintergrund aus Blattgold. Kirchenslawischer Titulus ("Hl. Johannes der Vorläufer"). Darstellung Johannes des Täufers in seiner alttestamentarischen Rolle als Bußprediger und "Engel der Wüste" - mit Engelsflügeln, Gewand aus Kamelhaar und einem Spruchband mit der Inschrift "Tut Buße, denn das Himmelreich ist nahe herbeigekommen" - Mt 3,2. In seiner linken Hand eine goldene Schale mit dem abgeschlagenen Haupt Christi. Auf der Rückseite handschriftliche Nummerierung "No 37", wahrscheinlich aus einer historischen Sammlung oder Klosterinventar. Darunter: kyrillische Inschrift, ein Verweis auf den berühmten Moskauer Hofikonenmaler Simon Ushakov (16261686). Dies stellt keine direkte Autorschaft dar, sondern deutet auf eine stilistische oder schulische Orientierung hin. Gefragtes Motiv! Feine hochwertige Detailarbeit!

Magnificent small-format icon with John the Baptist as the Angel of the Desert. Russian Empire, about 1870-1900. H 22,5cm, W 11cm. Egg tempera on chalk ground. Rectangular wooden panel, two back sponki. Kowtscheg. Gold leaf background. Church Slavonic titulus (St. John the Forerunner). Depiction of John the Baptist in his Old Testament role as a preacher of repentance and angel of the desert - with angels wings, a robe of camels hair and a banner with the inscription Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand - Mt 3:2. In his left hand a golden bowl with the severed head of Christ. Handwritten numbering No 37 on the reverse, probably from a historical collection or monastery inventory. Below: Cyrillic inscription, a reference to the famous Moscow court icon painter Simon Ushakov (1626-1686). This does not represent direct authorship, but indicates a stylistic or scholastic orientation. Sought-after motif! Fine, high-quality detail work!
