Attische Lekythos, wahrscheinlich vom Karlsruher Maler.
Um 470 v. Chr. H 29,7cm, ø 9,9cm. Form mit zylindrischem Corpus. Rotfigurig. Auf der Vs. eine junge Frau mit Chiton und Himation sowie ausgestreckter Rechter, vor ihr ein Kalathos, hinter ihr ein Diphros sowie an der Wand ein Alabastron. Auf der Rs. unter dem Henkel ein sog. "shadow". Dabei handelt es sich um den Abdruck eines Mäanders, der auf einem anderen Gefäß aufgemalt war und beim Brand ein Spiegelbild hinterlassen hat.

On the corpus a young woman dressed in chiton and himation, in front of her a kalathos, behind her a diphros and at the wall an alabastron. Below the handle a so-called shadow (imprint from a maender of an another vase during the firing). Reassembled from fragments, little retouched spots at the cracks.
