Ein Paar apulischer Kantharoi des Stoke-on-Trent-Malers.
Um 320 v. Chr. H 20,3 und 20,5cm, B mit Henkeln 19 und 18,5cm, ø Mündung 11,2 und 10,8cm, ø Fuß 6,4 und 6,5cm. Rotfigurig mit gelben und weißen Details. Beidseitig jeweils ein Frauenkopf mit Sakkos zwischen Thyrsoi. Am oberen und unteren Henkelansatz je ein plastischer Frauenkopf.
Provenienz: Aus der Sammlung R. K., Hessen, erworben vor 1980.
Pair of related red-figured Apulian kantharoi of the Stoke-on-Trent Painter. About 320 B.C. Each depicting on both sides the head of a woman with sakkos between thyrsoi. At the handles above and below each a plastic moulded head of a woman. Tiny splinters are flaked off, otherwise intact.
