Schwarzfigurige Lekythos des Gela-Malers.
Attisch, 500 - 490 v. Chr. H 18,5cm, ø Mündung 4,2cm, ø Körper 7,4cm, ø Fuß 5cm. Weiße und rote Details. Dionysos und Ariadne beim Gelage in den Dionysischen Gefilden. Zusammen liegen sie auf einer Kline umgeben von Wein, davor ein Beistelltisch mit Fleischfetzen, links und rechts sitzende Mänaden.
Provenienz: Aus der deutschen Privatsammlung A. B., Berlin, aus altem Familienbesitz und ursprünglich in der privaten Sammlung des Bundeskanzlers Willy Brandt.

Black-figure lekythos of the Gela Painter. Attic, 500 - 490 B.C. Dionysos and his wife Ariadne at the symposion in the dionysic afterworld surrounded by vine and accompanied by two sitting maenads. Missing parts at foot, handle, neck and mouth are retouched, otherwise intact.
