2. Jh. v. Chr. - 2. Jh. n. Chr. H 13,9cm. Vordere Hälfte eines Griffes in Gestalt eines Soldaten mit Helm, Panzer, Schild und als Zeichen seiner Sieghaftigkeit einem Palmzweig. Charakteristisch sind Pluderhosen und Stiefel.
Mit einer Expertise von 1985! Provenienz: Aus der bayerischen Privatsammlung H. R., seit den 1960er Jahren.
Front part of a Parthian knife handle made of bone in form of a soldier. 2nd century BC - 2nd century AD. Height 13,9cm. The soldier is wearing helmet and cuirass and holding a shield and a palm branch as symbol for his victoriousness. Characteristic for his Parthian origin are pantaloons and boots.
With expertise from 1985! A tiny fragment at the helmet is missing, otherwise intact.
