Monumentales authentisches Chicha Gefäß.
Shipibo Stamm, ca. 1960. ø ca. 76cm, H 62cm. Mischung von hellem und dunklem Ton, dünner Überzug, Bemalung in Weiß, Schwarz und Rot, Behandlung mit Harz. Bikonischer Körper, Schulter leicht gerundet, mit nach oben sich verjüngendem Hals und ausgezogener Lippe. An Schulter und Hals sehr feines Labyrinth-artiges geometrisches Muster. Beeindruckendes Stück!

Monumental authentic chicha vessel. Mixture of light and dark clay, thin slip, design in white, black and red, treated with resin. Biconical body with rounded shoulder, wide, tapering to the top, neck and outward rim. Upper body and neck covered in a fine and elaborate labyrinth-like geometrical pattern. Shipibo People, about 1960. Large fragment of the neck professionally reattached, a fissure in body, otherwise great condition. Impressive piece!

Wunderschöne und seltene Bronzefigur des Buddha Maravijaya.
Khmer, Lopburi, ca. 13. Jh. n. Chr. H 23cm. Vollguss. Sitzend in dhyanasana, seine Hände gehalten in bhumisparsa Mudra: die Rechte berührt die Erde mit den Fingerspitzen - so ruft er die Erdgöttin zur Zeugin seiner Tugend an, die ihm erlaubt, die Erleuchtung nun in diesem Leben zu erreichen. Seine Linke, auf dem Schoß ruhend, hält eine Lotosknospe. Er trägt ein langes sanghati, das seine rechte Schulter nackt lässt. Sein Kopf ist leicht nach rechts gewendet, das Gesicht drückt Gelassenheit und Ruhe des nirvana aus. Haar mit kleinen Locken und eine pyramidenförmige Ushnisha.

Extraordinary and rare bronze figure of Buddha Maravijaya. Sitting in dhyanasana, holding his hands in bhumisparsa mudra: his right hand is touching the ground, calling the Earth to be witness of his deeds and of his right to attain the enlightenment, his left resting on his laps with a tiny lotus bud. He is wearing a long sanghati robe, that is leaving his left shoulder bare. His head is turned slightly to the right, the face with serene, peacefull expression. Short hair with tiny curls and a pointed Ushnisha. Khmer, Lopburi, about 13th century AD. Green and blue patina, intact, with a stand.

Grüne Tara.
Tibet, ca. 16. - 17. Jh. H 10cm. Bronzelegierung feuervergoldet. Thronend in lalitasana auf einer doppelten Lotosbasis mit der Mondscheibe, stützt sie ihr Bein auf den herauswachsenden Lotos. Von beiden Seiten umrahmt von zwei Lotospflanzen, eine in voller Blüte und eine als Knospe. Die Göttin trägt ein Dhoti und ist mit Körperjuwelen geschmückt. Ihr Haar ist in einem hohen Chignon gesammelt, auf die Spitze ist eine Lotosblume gesetzt, auf dem Kopf eine prächtige Krone. Schmuck und Krone sind mit Türkis-, Lapislazuli- sowie Korallen- und Perlen-Tröpfchen eingelegt. Ihre Linke hält sie in vitarka Mudra vor der Brust, ihre Rechte erholt sich auf dem rechten Knie in varada Mudra.

Bronze gilded figurine of Green Tara. Sitting in lalitasana on a double lotus throne, flanked by two lotus flowers, wearing a dhoti, adorned with body jewellery like bangles and a large necklace. Her hair collected in a chignon, topped with a lotus flower, as a headwear wearing a crown, that, as well as the jewellery, decorated with the inlayed stones of lapis lazuli, turquoise, coral and pearl. Her left hand in vitarka mudra, her right resting on the knee in varada mudra. Tibet, about 16th - 17th century. Gilding partially rubbed off, one stone missing, otherwise intact.

Seltene sino-tibetische Figur eines Reinen.
ca. 18. Jh. H 11,6cm. Bronzelegierung feuervergoldet. Thronend auf der Lotosbasis, gekleidet in eine lange Robe, mit Futou-Kopfputz im Stil der Tang Dynastie. Ursprünglich eingelegte Augen sowie ein Attribut in den Händen. Der Dargestellte ist also entweder Lingbao Tianzun mit einem Ryui-Zepter, oder Daode Tianzun mit einem Fächer. Auf dem Unterdeckel ein Doppel-Vajra.

Die Drei Reinen sind die Hauptgottheiten des Daoistischen Pantheon. Sie formen eine zentrale Triade ähnlich der Trinität im Christentum und Trikaya im Buddhismus und repräsentieren die ursprüngliche himmlische/kosmische Energie oder auch den Himmel, wo sich diese Gottheiten aufhalten. Die in menschlicher Form dargestellte Triade verkörpert die Qi-Energie, das Dào-Prinzip sowie die Primärgottheit.

Rare Sino-Tibetan figure of a Pure One. Enthroned on the lotus base, dressed in a long robe with futou headdress in the Tang Dynasty style. Originally inlaid eyes and an attribute in the hands. Depicted is either Lingbao Tianzun with a Ryui scepter, or Daode Tianzun with a fan. Double vajra on the lower lid. About 18th century. Attribute missing, otherwise intact.

Rattanakosin Ayutthaya Buddha.
Thailand, Anfang - Mitte 19. Jh. H 46cm. Kupferlegierung vergoldet. Geradestehend auf einem gestuften Sockel mit Resten der roten Bemalung, beide Hände in abhaya Mudra haltend, mit prächtiger Kleidung, teilweise in Relief, und Krone, sowie hoher Ushnisha.

Provenienz: Ex Sammlung Dr. W. G., München, erworben in den 1960er Jahren im Kunsthandel.

Rattanakosin Ayutthaya Buddha. Copper alloy, gilded. Standing straight on a stepped pedestal, both hands in abhaya mudra, wearing rich royal attire, partially made in relief, an crown, with elongated ushnisha. Thailand, beginning/middle of 19th century. Gilding partially rubbed off, probably fragment of the ushnisha missing, upper part of it reattached.

Parvati.
Südindien, späte Vijayanagara, 17. Jh. H 60cm. Bronzevollguss, 18,8kg. Auf einem vereinfachten Lotospodest mit rechteckiger Basis in tribhanga Haltung stehend dargestellt. Die Göttin trägt einen langen Dhoti, eine hohe kirita mukuta Krone und Juwelen. In ihrer Rechten hält sie eine Lotosknospe, ihre Linke in gezierter Haltung entlang des Körpers.

Bronze full cast statuette of Parvati. Standing in tribhanga on a simplified lotus pedestal with a rectangular base. The goddess is wearing a long dhoti, high kirita mukuta crone and jewels. In her right hand - a large lotus bud, her left swaying along the body. Southern India, late Vijayanagara, 17th century. Dark patina.

Kupferaltar des Vishnu.
Südindien, 19. Jh. H 21cm, H Figur mit Lotos 13cm. In drei Teilen gegossen. Der vierarmige Gott, auf einem Lotos und einem getreppten Sockel stehend, hält seine primäre Rechte in varada mudra und legt die Linke auf seine Hüfte, in seinen sekundären Händen trägt er eine Chakra und eine Shankha. Er trägt einen langen Dhoti, eine hohe Krone und prächtigen Körperschmuck. Hinter ihm der große siebenköpfige Naga-König Shesha. Selten in dieser Erhaltung!

Copper altar of Vishnu. Casted in three parts. The four-armed god, standing on a lotus and a high base, holding his right hand in varada mudra and laying his left on the hip. In his secondary hands a chakra and a shankha. Wearing a long dhoti and a high crown, as well as body jewelry. Naga king Shesha is stretching over Vishnu in a baldachin of his seven heads. Southern India, 19th century. Rests of pigment. Rare in this condition!

Dolch mit Pferdegriff.
Nordindien, um 1900. L 30,5cm, L Klinge 18,6cm. Griff aus Bergkristall, in Form eines Pferdekopfes. Klinge aus Damaststahl, mit Goldtauschierung geschmiedet, im Stil von Mogul-Zeit. Dazu eine spätere Scheide aus Holz und Leder.

Knife with a rock crystal handle in the shape of a horses head. Blade of damascus steel, forged with gold inlay, in the style of the Mughal period. A later scabbard made of wood and leather. Northern India, about 1900. Parts probably originally not belonging.

China, Yuan oder Ming, ca. 10. - 17. Jh. L 20cm. Zwei nadelförmige Zacken verbunden von einem abgeflachten, rundlichen Kopf.

Tang horse of unglazed clay with slip and rests of pigment. Tang Dynasty, ca. 618 - 906 AD. Reassembled from several pieces, missing parts repaired, mainly at the lower feet and at the neck base, some spots probably repainted. With two TL-certificates: The University of Hong Kong 11.12.1996 (age 1380 years) and Laboratory Kotalla Haigerloch 28.10.21 (age around 1300 years)!

Terrakottafigur einer Dame.
Han-Dynastie, 206 v. Chr. - 220 n. Chr. H 51cm, B Unterseite 25cm. Matrizengeformt, heller Ton mit Resten der weißen, roten, braunen und schwarzen Bemalung. Die auf ihren Knien sitzende Dienerin trägt ein mit einem roten Gürtel gebundenes ruqun. Dessen Saum gibt hinten den Blick auf ihre Fußsohlen frei. Der separat angesetzte Kopf ist leicht nach vorne gebeugt.

Terracotta figure of a female attendant. Matrix formed, with remains of white, red, brown and black pigment. Depicted sitting on her knees, wearing a long sleeved ruqun, that opens from the back to show the soles of her feet. The separately made head bending slightly forward, fine face features with arched eyebrows. Han, 206 BC - 220 AD. Hands lost, surface rubbed and with covering, otherwise intact.

Schöner Marmorkopf des Bodhisattva Guanyin.
China, 18. - 19. Jh. H 38cm, mit Ständer 53cm. Im Stil der Ming-Dynastie. Prächtige Tiara mit Perlenketten und Blumen sowie ein Schleier.

Beautiful marble head of Bodhisattva Guanyin in style of Ming dynasty. Wearing a wonderful tiara with strings of beads and flowers. China, 18th - 19th century. With a wooden stand, intact.

Seltenes Weingefäß.
Zeit der Streitenden Reiche oder frühe Han-Dynastie, ca. 4. - 2. Jh. v. Chr. H 29,5cm, B 32,5cm, T 10cm. Hellgrauer Ton mit grauem Überzug, Nachahmung von bian hu Typ in Bronze. Flacher, ovaler Körper mit abgefassten Rändern, auf einem konischen, rechteckigen Fuß. Kurzer zylindrischer Hals mit nach außen gezogenem Rand, mit originalem Deckel. An den Seiten jeweils eine kleine taotie Maske. Mit TL-Gutachten R. Kotalla Apr. 2022!

Das Gefäß wurde wohl als Grabbeigabe produziert. Auch Bronzegefäße von dem Typ wurden häufig bei den Ausgrabungen der königlichen Gräber gefunden.

Extremely rare terracotta wine bottle of grey clay. Imitation of the bian hu type in bronze. Flattened, oval body with chamfered edges, on a conical, rectangular foot; short neck with a wide mouth, with an original lid; on each side a small taotie mask. Warring States or early Han, about 4th - 2nd century BC. Missing fragment of the mouth restored, some scratches, handles and rings on the sides and at the lid missing, otherwise very well preserved. With a copy of the invoice from 1997! With TL-report R. Kotalla April 2022

Set von zwei Töpfen und drei Schöpfkellen.
Han-Dynastie, 206 v. Chr. - 220 n. Chr. Terrakotta mit teilweise rötlicher Bemalung, unglasiert. Zwei große Gefäße vom Typ lian (H 24,3cm, ø 32,5cm, H 15,2cm, ø 21cm), zylindrischer Körper mit leicht vertieftem zentralen Register auf drei Füßen in Tierform. Zusammen mit drei Gefäßen vom Typ yi (L ca. 25,5cm, 22,5cm und 19,5cm, H 14 - 10,5cm) mit kurzem Griff und flachem Boden. Großer Topf mit TL-Gutachten R. Kotalla April 2022!

Set of two large jars and three ladle-like vessels of terracotta with red pigment, unglazed. Two lian type tripod vessels with cylindrical body standing on feet in animal form, together with three yi of different sizes with short handles and flattened bottoms. Han, 206 BC - 220 AD. Some feet reattached or with fissures, smallest ladle reassembled out of three large fragments, otherwise intact. The large jar with TL-report R. Kotalla, April 2022!

Schöne Thangka mit Buddha Shakyamuni.
Tibet, 19. Jh. 63 x 42cm, mit Rahmen 92 x 70,5cm. Gouache auf Baumwolle, Brokat aus goldfarbener und blauer Seide. In der Mitte auf einer Mondscheibe über einem Lotosthron in padmasana sitzender Buddha mit bhumisparsa Mudra, in seiner Linken eine Bettelschale haltend, umgeben von einer Doppelmandorla und mit grünem Nimbus. Über ihm Devas, Makaras und ein Kirtimukha in dem Rankenbogen. Neben dem Thron die zwei Hauptschüler Ananda und Mahakashyapa. In die Umgebung mit der Landschaft, den Bäumen und der Architektur sind narrative Darstellungen der Avadanas (moralische Erzählungen) sowie Szenen aus dem Leben Buddhas beginnend mit dem Traum der Maya über dem weißen Elefant mit sechs Stoßzähnen oben rechts eingewebt. Feine Malerei!

Beautiful thangka with Buddha Shakyamuni. Gouache on cotton, brocade made of gold-yellow and blue silk. In the center, sitting on a moon disc above a lotus throne in padmasana Buddha with bhumisparsa mudra, holding a begging bowl in his left hand, surrounded by a double mandorla and with a green nimbus. Above him devas, makaras and a kirtimukha in the tendril arch; next to the throne two main students Ananda and Mahakashyapa. Narrative depictions of the Avadanas (moral stories) and scenes from the life of Buddha (beginning with the Mayan dream of the white elephant with six tusks, top right) are woven into the environment with the landscape, trees and architecture. Tibet, 19th century. Framed, brocade not complete, craquelure. Fine drawing!
